the Gyle Centre sculpture was commissioned by Edinburgh City Council and manufactured by Inverness Precast Concrete. ‘More of the Same’ was exhibited in the Old Model Lodging House in East North St. At the time of the exhibition in 1992 the building was in a state of decay and about to be redeveloped by Grampian Housing Association. It had been purpose built in 1889 to accommodate young working men coming into Aberdeen to build the new dock and Union St. The project was organised by Kinesis, an artists’ group comprising myself, Susan Glasgow and Susannah Silver.
